Day 2 - Nairobi, the capital !

This morning, I leave the airport to go to my hotel.

I take taxi and I arrive atthe palace ! Choqu



And this is my room !



Then, I'll eat in town.
I search a restaurant and chose the "Seven Seafood & Grill". Se marre


I ate very weeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeell !! Smile

No time to rest, I want to visit the city center of Nairobi and its monuments.

Tonight I am very tired and very happy with my first day.
I returned to the hotel and fall asleep in 10 minutes. Smile

Tomorrow, expect a long day.

Day 3 - Welcome to the Maasai Mara National reserve !

This morning, I go to the Maasai Mara National reserve by car.
I'm very impatient and excited. Se marre Se marre




I arrive on the reserve and I met Kimemia, my guide.




And then, I'll go on safari !!!! Se marre












After my safari, I'll met my Masai foster.



Tonight, I'll sleep in a tent, next to the masai.

Day 4 - The Masai traditions.

Today, I play a real member of the Masai tribe.




The houses were made of mud and wood. The women build the houses, cook the food, walk for miles to get water with the donkeys, mind the children and cook. The men bring the cattle to anywhere that they can find grass. They could be away for days on end. The mud huts had no electricity so no light, TV or anything. They cooked inside the house and everything was handmade. The beds were made of wood cut to make the frame and a cows hide, which was dried and oiled up, then placed over the frame. It was actually very comfortable. Their clothes are colourful blankets and beaded jewelery and some have marks on their face, this is seen like a tattoo and they also have their stretched as a decoration.
It is very common for the man to have multiple wives. Kimemia’s father had 10 wives and 53 children. The man has his own house where he stays and the women go and visit him.
I tasted Maasai tea . The children were afraid but enthralled with me. Playing with my hair, holding our hands and wanting to carry my bags. The kids thought it was so funny when I showed them pictures I had taken of them. The young men of the village then put on a show for me of dancing and singing. I was amazed by this and they invited me to join and put on the maasai blankets on me.
